ADDITIVES
Solve any process problems detergent alone can't.
Detergent does most of the cleaning work. Additives step in when the process needs extra support—controlling foam,
helping with heavy soils, reducing flash rust, or protecting cleaned parts after the wash.
Renegade additives are built for water-based cleaning systems and are meant to fine-tune performance without changing how
your washer runs day to day.
HOW ADDITIVES WORK IN PRACTICE
Use additives to correct a process problem—not to complicate the system.
Most shops do not need additives all the time. They are there for the moments when a water-based cleaning process runs into a
real condition that needs attention: foam that disrupts spray, hard water that contributes to flash rust, soils that need
pre-treatment, or parts that need protection after washing.
Used the right way, additives help the wash process stay predictable while protecting parts, supporting solution life, and
reducing rework after cleaning.
Defoamer — keep foam from interfering with cleaning
Excess foam can block spray coverage, create overflows, and make results inconsistent. Defoamer helps solution stay where
it belongs so cleaning reaches the part surface and cycles stay stable.
Rust Inhibitor — protect parts from flash rust
Water-based cleaning can leave freshly cleaned metal exposed, especially in hard water conditions or when parts sit before
the next step. Rust Inhibitor adds protection during washing and short-term storage.
Jolt Degreaser — help with heavy grease and baked-on residue
Some soils need extra help before they reach the washer. Jolt is a pre-treatment additive that loosens tough contamination
so your detergent can finish the job more effectively.
Metalist — protect cleaned parts after the wash
Metalist leaves behind a light protective layer that helps guard parts in storage and helps protect your cleaning system
during planned shutdowns or idle periods.
Not sure which additive you need?
Start with the process problem you are trying to solve. Some additives are best for controlling foam, some are best for helping
with heavy grease before washing, and some options help protect metal parts during or after the cleaning cycle.
- Choosing defoamer when excess foam interferes with spray coverage
- Using degreaser to loosen heavy grease and baked-on soils before washing
- Selecting rust inhibitor to reduce flash rust in hard water or between process steps
- Matching Metalist to parts that need post-wash or short-term storage protection

QUICK SHOP
Shop additives by the problem you need to solve.
Start with the condition you are trying to correct—foam, flash rust, heavy grease, or post-wash protection—then choose
the additive that supports your process without changing your whole setup.
